Post-metal stalwarts Russian Circles have confirmed the August 28th release of their new full length via Sargent House, Nine. Working in close collaboration with Kurt Ballou of Converge, the latest album continues the well-established history between the two forces dating back to the band's sixth album in 2016's Guidance.
Paired with the confirmation of the new album, Russian Circles have debuted the relentless first track from the new collection with, "Empath." A colossal show of musicality and muscle, the track emphasizes the durability that has defined their sound.
The band spoke of their new chapter. “The music we make is a collective process of reconciliation, navigation, and reflection upon aging both as individuals and as a creative entity. Life has created very real distances between us, but the band continues to be at the center, and this creative collaboration is a way of charting the passage of time while also giving us a reason to look tothe future."
Along with the news of the pending full length and first preview, Russian Circles have confirmed a North American tour in support of Nine. Along with support from Pelican and Primitive Man, Russian Circles will embark on an extensive trek across the U.S. and Canada showcasing selections from their catalog, old and new. The tour begins September 25th in Wisconsin and closes November 21st in Minneapolis, MN.
