Simultaneously celebrating their history while confidently forging ahead into a new era, Saosin have issued another impactful single, following their first reveal of new music in a decade earlier this year.
Returning with "Starting Over Again" this spring and announcing their signing to Sumerian Records, the track marked the reconfiguration with vocalist Cove Reber for the first time in 14 years. Setting the wheels in motion, the band also announced a commemorative 20th anniversary tour, revisiting the magnitude of their enduring self-titled full length with support from Silent Planet, Like Moths to Flames and Save Us.
Intent on never forgetting where they came from, all while continuing to move forward creatively, the band have shared a second single with the emotive, "Just Be Honest". Anchored by Reber's powerful call and the effective songwriting of guitartists/producers Beau Burchell and Phil Sgrosso, the latest track heralds Saosin's auspicious future.
Burchell explains, "We knew there was something special about 'Just Be Honest' from the moment of its inception. It had that rare feeling early on where you just know a song is going to matter on an album.
Hearing Cove's vocals on it for the first time confirmed it, and then Phil's leads gave it that extra push. The whole thing blossomed into something bigger than we imagined.
This is really just the beginning of a much bigger body of work for us, a whole new era. We weren't planning to share anything this soon, but we got so excited about where the music was heading that we couldn't sit on it any longer.”
