Completing a year long build up that saw a run of massive singles that began last January with the arrival of "Three Six Five" and "Dance Kid Dance" in addition to a hugely successful arena run for the first installment of the Dance Kid Dance tour, Shinedown have confirmed their new album, EI8HT, will arrive May 29th via Atlantic Records.
Along with the news of the band's pending full length, Shinedown have firmed up plans to resume their live campaign with the Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour. Spanning some 11 countries across 54 dates, Shinedown will take on North America, the United Kingdom and Europe holding court at some of world's most prestigious venues for some of the biggest shows of the band's storied career.

Sharing his enthusiasm to begin the next era of the band, frontman Brent Smith explained, “This album is over a year in the making. Without question as a band we pushed ourselves like never before. Especially when it comes to Eric (Bass / bass and production). Myself, Zach, and Barry are so honored to create, and work with such an extraordinary producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, musician, performer, and band mate. We are so excited to finally announce our 8th Studio album titled EI8HT alongside our Dance Kid Dance Act ll World Tour.”
To officially begin the band's newest cycle, Shinedown have delivered yet another commanding single with the launch of "Safe and Sound". Showcasing the band's arena-sized wallop, the track is rousing rock heavy anthem intended to draw fists in the air. Smith went onto explain how the track is intended to put everyone on notice, "Safe and Sound is about reminding the competition what they are dealing with one by one."
The announcement of the Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour has Shinedown on the road starting in May and extending through the remainder of the year. This, in addition to the band's first-ever Lunatic's Ball Beach Weekend set for Miramar Beach, FL this October, Shinedown will take on a relentless schedule that will feature Coheed and Camrbia, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes to New, DJ Rock Feed and Those Damn Crows on various dates.
