New York Hardcore outliers Show Me the Body continue to blaze their own trail. Due to begin their Corpus Grows North American tour later this month, as well as debut their Corpus II EP I release on the 27th, the band has already cemented plans for a second EP in the Corpus series - as fans eagerly await the first.
Barreling into what will no doubt be a fruitful remainder of year, Show Me the Body have previewed the next installment in the Corpus EP collection while showcasing the live spectacle to come on their upcoming tour with the release of their latest single, "Stomach". Recruiting fellow disruptors High Vis for the track, "Stomach" asserts a raucous cadence and a driving pulse backed by the tandem vocals of Julian Pratt and High Vis frontman, Graham Sayles.
Further asserting the foundation of collaboration that remains core to Show Me the Body and their Corpus movement, Part two of Corpus II is bolstered by contributions from High Vis, B L A C K I E, Special Interest, Spelling, Regional Justice Center, Destiny, VCR, Corbin, and Nick Hakim. Part one of Corpus II includes entries from B L A C K I E, King Yosef, Starker, YL, and ZULU.
The Corpus Grows Tour furthers Show Me the Body's ongoing Corpus NYC initiative first forged in 2015. A community-driven collective nurturing creative and mutual aid, Corpus NYC has been a driving force in cultivating non-traditional, intentional DIY spaces in New York and now internationally. Producing effective, provoking tours ranging from underground punk to alternative hip hop, CORPUS NYC continues its outreach via artistic authenticity.
Set to join Show Me the Body on their extensive Corpus Grows Tour, High Vis and BIB will join for the duration of the trek. Additionally, Special Interest, ZelooperZ, Bearcat, and HiTech will also be featured on select dates on the run.
The Corpus Grows tour will culminate with an important finale for Show Me the Body. Set for November 2nd, the tour will close out with a headlining set at the Knockdown Center in Queens, where Corpus NYC is now based. The event will mark the largest hometown show for Show Me the Body to date.
