Among two of heavy music's most intriguing, compelling forces, Russian deathcore powerhouse Slaughter to Prevail and Kawaii metal juggernaut BABYMETAL have joined forces for a collaboration of epic proportions in "Song 3".
The track has the distinct feature of landing on both forthcoming albums from each of the contributing artists. For Slaughter to Prevail, the highly-anticipated Grizzly arrives July 18th via Sumerian Records and is already shaping up to be an album of the year candidate.
For BABYMETAL, the track will be featured on the band's June 13th arrival of METAL FORTH. The album marks a history marking deal, positioning BAYMETAL as the first-ever Japanese artist to sign a frontline deal with Capitol Records.
As for "Song 3" itself, the track is a tandem attack of pure sonic devastation. The contrast of BABYMETAL's hyperpop pulse combined with the menacing dominance of Alex Terrible is a perfect stylistic fit - a collaboration that is among the very best in heavy music in recent memory.
BABYMETAL will embark on a sprawling North American tour this summer which will feature support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood. The run begins on same day METAL FORTH arrives, June 13th with a kickoff in Houston, TX. The tour wraps on July 23rd with a finale in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to the release of Grizzly, Slaughter To Prevail is a featured artist on several important US festivals this season.
