Makring the arrival of one of the year's most anticipated full length releases, deathcore juggernaut Slaughter to Prevail have unleashed their Sumerian Records offensive, Grizzly. Driven by a series of dominate singles in “Conflict,” “Viking,” “1984,” “Behelit,” and “Kid of Darkness,” - the collection of tracks have propelled the band in becoming one of extreme music's most streamed artists in the modern era.
Along the album's most effective entries, the clobbering "Russia Grizzly in America" and the collaborative powerhouse in "Song 3" alongside BABYMETAL have gone onto become two of the essential tracks of the summer and have only served to build the hype of the pending full length.
Among the focal points of the presentation and one of the most discussed collaborations of the full length, the arrival of Grizzly is christened with the release of "IMDEAD," the chaotic collab featuring Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse. Instantly touted as one of the anchors of the album, the track revisits the magic of Falling In Reverse's "Ronald" which landed last spring and featured the union of Radke, Alex Terrible and MidWest spitfire, Tech N9ne.
On "IMDEAD," the tandem of Alex Terrible and Ronnie Radke make for a menacing pair as the two submit the kind of relentless performances that assert they remain in a league all their own.
Speaking on the confirmation of the new album, frontman Alex Terrible explained how Grizzly is set ot be a defining achievement for the band.
“I think this is the best album we have ever written. We put so much effort into it. We spent a lot of time on every detail and really poured our souls into the songs. In the past, we were always rushing to finish albums and just releasing whatever we had. This time, we took our time, worked carefully on each track, and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Hopefully it was all worth it.”
Along with the release of Grizzly, Slaughter To Prevail is featured as direct support on the God Is A Weapon summer tour. Supporting Falling In Reverse, the tour is among the most anticipated on the year and segues into a festival performance as both bands play an integral part in Knotfest's return to Mexico later this year.
