Over the weekend the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame class of 2025 was confirmed, narrowing down the field of esteemed nominees. Among the artists set to be enshrined, Soundgarden is set to be inducted this November after being nominated twice before.
There were a handful of first-time nominees that made the cut with Joe Cocker, Bad Company, Chubby Checker and ATL hip hop greats Outkast all punching their tickets to the dance.
Rounding out the field, The White Stripes have been confirmed for the 2025 class along with the iconic Cyndi Lauper earning her place inside the Hall. Among the additional names featured in the 2025 class, Salt-N-Pepa as well as Warren Zevon have been confirmed to receive the Musical Influence Award.
In a bit of a controversial aside to the announcement, jam-band legends Phish were not inducted despite earning the highest fan votes with more than 320,000 from February 12 until April 27. Other artists that missed this year included Billy Idol, Oasis, Joy Division/New Order, spanish rock heroes Maná, Mariah Carey and The Black Crowes.
The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will take place November 8th at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA.
