Having already submitted "scatterbrain" from the pending, reimagined debut full length. motionblur [DELUXE], Bristol standouts Split Chain have launched a pair of supporting singles with guest features for additional muscle. 

"Headway" [DLX] and "SPIT" [DLX] were both sourced from the band's lauded debut LP, this time repurposed and further bolstered by contributions from Roman Candle and False Reality, respectively. 

Split Chain enthused of the pair of retooled singles and the new life injected into the tracks from the guest features. “asking both Piper and Rachel to feature on these songs was an absolute no brainer for us. We’re all such big fans of what they do in their own bands and we were so excited to see how they would interpret these songs. Not only that, but being able to have features from bands in both the US and UK scene is so sick."

The band further added how both the members of Roman Candle and False Reality elevated the singles set the table for the touring run to come. "They both have such distinctive, dynamic and incredible voices and hearing how their own natural flair sits so well in these songs is legitimately insane. They’ve genuinely done the songs incredible amounts of justice, and their unique takes on each have really elevated the songs to a point where they now sit comfortably as their definitive versions. We couldn’t be happier with how the songs have turned out and we’re so excited to be able to tour with them in September.”

Previously speaking to the concept of retooling their debut album, Split Chain detailed their vision in launching a deluxe edition of motionblur and the ability to collaborate that made the project so appealing. “We are so, so proud of what we created with ‘motionblur,’ and we wanted to come up with a way to celebrate it all over again, in a way that both shows love to the scene that has helped us get where we are now, as well as including many of the friends that we’ve made along the way.”

Paired with the September 11th arrival of motionblur [DELUXE], Split Chain will head up a run of UK dates with support from their most recent collaborators. The tour begins September 18th in Southampton and closes out September 25th with a finale in London. A current list of tour dates can be found below.
