Static Dress continue to assert a special prowess as post hardcore progressives. Following the impactful release of preview singles, "Human Props" and the emphatic follow-up featuring Underoath in "Nostalgia Kills," the band's latest preview of their pending full length Injury Episode might be their most musically ambitious to date.
"...hospice" offers a dramatic departure from the band's sonic chaos, showcasing a songwriting sophistication that elevates Static Dress as standouts light years ahead of the class. The opulent, masterfully melodic track underscore's Olli Appleyard's vision as both a filmmaker and musical craftsman - with the frontman also taking on the music video's direction.
In addition to the narrative continuation of Rogue Carpet Disaster, Injury Episode marks an important first for Static Dress. Along with their arrival on Sumerian Records, the release also serves as the first collaborative project with Olli Appleyard (Vocals), Vin Weight (Guitar), George Holding (Bass), and Sam Ogden (Drums) each submitting their own distinct contribution to the enormity and musical scope of the album.
Ahead of the arrival of Injury Episode, Static Dress will trek to Australia for a run of live dates supporting Loathe followed by a highly-anticipated appearance at Slam Dunk in May. This summer, Static Dress have been tapped to support Motionless In White, Lorna Shore and Fit For A King on The Sweat and Blood tour. A complete list of dates and cities can be found - HERE
