Stray From the Path Surprise Fans With their Final Album, 'Clockworked'

Read the heartfelt statement from the band confirming their plans to call it quits at the end of 2025.

Without any strategic rollout or fanfare, Stray From the Path has surprised fans and the greater world of heavy music with the unveiling of their latest full length studio album, Clockworked. The unexpected arrival of the album also marks the end of the road for the band, with Stray From the Path confirming that this latest release, will be their final.

Earlier this year, the band announced their union with SharpTone Records. Along with the news of the signing and what felt like a second phase of their acclaimed career, the band released the impactful first single, "Kubrick Stare." The track was a clinic of metallic hardcore with urgent guitars, dynamic percussion and  Drew Dijorio delivering biting social commentary with slick turn of phrase.

Opting to go out on a high note, Stray From the Path have given fans a fitting swan song with the delivery of Clockworked as the final album from the band along with the news that after 2025, Stray From the Path will be hanging it up. Sharing a heartfelt statement about their decision, the band expressed sincere gratitude for the run they have had and emphasized the importance of going out on their own terms.

"The four of us, Anthony, Craig, Drew and Tom, have been touring together as a unit for almost 10 years, and now it feels like the right time to put the band to rest. We've gone on to make amazing records together, tour the world, and have been fortunate to gain the support of people, more than we could have asked for. We get to go out on our own accord, on a final record and do some final tours celebrating the band one last time with the people who gave us a great career. Listen to Clockworked and keep your eyes peeled for further touring announcements."

The band also emphasized that the decision was one made in a good headspace, free of animosity or ill-will. "This is a mutual decision — there's no bad blood, we love each other, and we love you all. In the next couple weeks, we will be announcing our final tour dates, and after 2025, we will be putting the band to rest. Looking forward to celebrating the band one last time together for the rest of 2025."

Along with the announcement and the arrival of the band's final full length studio release, Stray From the Path have delivered the latest video for the single, "Shot Caller" - another potent presentation of metallic hardcore grit from the veteran crew.
