Outsider artists Swollen Teeth have issued their first entry of new music on the year, following the acclaim of their pair of singles in 2024 with the inflammatory "Family" and "Money and Greed". Combining howling, violent vocals with a stylistic mesh that challenges conventional metal, "Medicine" toes a balance of weighty rhythms and convincing catharsis.
"The song is molded by heavy grooves slammed together in a transmutation of primal emotions, pain and love,” explained the band.
The project continues the potent creative kinship between Swollen Members as well as producers and collaborators, Sid Wilson and Ross Robinson. The collective made a disruptive introduction in 2021 with the debut of the self-titled EP. Among the stand out tracks, "Empty" and "Car Crash" garnered widespread acclaim as heavy music quickly took to the band's menacing mystique.
The most recent single from Swollen Teeth lands as the project prepares for a pair of massive summer festival appearances: Appearing at FEQ Festival, Quebec City, QC on July 7th, Swollen Teeth will then make a lasting impression at Inkcarceration,in Mansfield, OH on July 19th.
