technical death metal renegades Archspire are gearing up for a massive 2026. Prepping for the release of their first, fully independent album Too Fast to Die, the full length studio release ushers in a new era of the band complete with a refreshed line-up and the first outing since their Juno award-winning 2021 effort, Bleed the Future.
Hitting the road in support of the album, Archspire have announced their Long Roads Big Loads trek across North America. The extensive tour will begin April 24th in Calgary, AB and stretch through June 6th where the tour loops back up through Canada for a finale in Vancouver. Adding to the unhinged live set from Archspire, the spring run will feature a stellar roster of support with sets from Undeath, Crown Magnetar, and Mutilation Barbecue.
The band shared of the announcement, "We (just Oli) always wanted to call a tour 'Long Roads Big Loads' and we finally decided that we're now dumb enough to pull the trigger! If you're in North America, chances are you may see us abusing a gas station bathroom stall near you! We're playing a few new songs and exposing our new drummer to the world! Make sure to heckle the shit out of him! Stay Tech”
The news follows the band's recent reveal of the first new single in four years with the deranged, "Carrion Ladder". Showcasing lighting speed and devastating technicality, the track reasserts Archspire among the very best in the game as true tech death virtuosos. The release previews the band's crowdfunded campaign, an effort that amassed an overwhelming response with more than $400,000 CAD contributed from fans to fund the project.
Vocalist Oliver Rae Aleron shared, "Santa Claus is coming… early… directly down the chimney with a fat sack full of pre-order bundles for our 5th and most insane album yet! After going through more drummers than toilet paper at a chili eating contest, we are finally able to announce the release of 'TOO FAST TO DIE.' This is the first record we've ever produced as a fully independent band. We want to send out a ton of big sloppy joe kisses to everyone who believed in us and supported our Independence Day Kickstarter campaign! It's because of your tech support that this album can finally reach people's ears. We hope you all love it as much as we do!"
