Emerging nu-metal firebrand Tetrarch have announced plans to release their third full length studio effort, The Ugly Side of Me' on May 9th via the band's supportive home of Napalm Records.
The project marks the first studio release since the band's pivotal sophomore release, Unstable, which resulted in widespread acclaim, a torrent of live tour dates and the inevitable arrival of guitarist Diamond Rowe as a leading figure among heavy music's new school.
Asserting their creative breadth, songwriting savvy and a well-rounded ear beyond their years, Tetrarch's own Diamond Rowe and Josh Fore took on production of the album along with the oversight of Dave Otero. First introducing their next phase last fall with the reveal of the single, "Live Not Fantasize" the rock heavy sway of the single reignited the band's spark, reminding fans just how much they were missed. Showcasing the vocal debut of Rowe, the band leveled up their mode of attack and proved Tetrarch was very much a force to be reckoned with.
Along with the announcement of the new record, Tetrarch have revealed the next offering from the album with the anthemic, “Never Again (Parasite)”. With Rowe and Fore trading vocals over a locomotive heavy cadence, the track a sturdy showing of melody and muscle that emphasizes that Tetrarch is back and arguably better than ever. Showcasing the vocal debut of Rowe, the band leveled up their plan of attack and proved they even more formidable a force.
The band shared the following regarding the latest, “We are so excited to finally announce the release of our upcoming record, entitled The Ugly Side of Me, as well as our second single, 'Never Again (Parasite)'. 'Never Again (Parasite)' was such a fun song for us to write. It’s very moody and dark but lyrically extremely easy for anyone to relate to. It's basically about losing trust in so many of the situations and people around you - while at the same time, isolating and losing a sense of self. It also kind of has a vibe of taking back what’s yours and saying 'this won’t happen to me ever again'. I suppose you can look at it either way. This song shows a very different side of our band especially coming off of our last single 'Live Not Fantasize'."
The band added, "This is also the first time we have featured Diamond on vocals in a capacity other than just background textures and we are super stoked for everyone to hear her voice in this way.”
