Progressive aggressors The Acacia Strain have announced their next full length campaign via Rise Records, You Are Safe From God Here. The album is due to arrive October 24th and follows the band's ambitious 2023 undertaking that included the release of the tandem albums, Failure Will Follow and Step Into the Light.
Building on the duality of the 2023 effort that coupled two separate releases to showcase both the concise musical barrage and the abysmal, spiraling hell that can only come from The Acacia Strain, You Are Safe From God sources most effective elements of sludge, doom, and death metal, combined wth the band's hardcore punk DNA to make for an especially pulverizing finished product.
The band did not mince their words in explaining what the intent was in making this latest full length. "This record unapologetically The Acacia Strain; take that however you want. It's angry, it's sad, it's us. We made a record that made us feel uncomfortable. We hope it makes you feel the same way."
Introducing the next campaign, The Acacia Strain have shared the first offering from the new record with the release of "A Call Beyond". The track is a two-minute assault featuring tempo changes that shift from sludgy to searing, fronted by one of the best in the game in Vincent Bennett.
"We had a hard time landing on one song to release first over all the others — it gets more difficult to pick 'one song' every time we put out a new record," the band explained. "We felt 'A CALL BEYOND' was a good introduction to this era of TAS."
Among the artists featured on You Are Safe From God Here include guest assists from Sunny Faris of Blackwater Holylight and hardcore champions Brody King and Colin Young of God's Hate. The album arrives October 24th via Rise Records. Pre-order the release - HERE
