Metalcore lifers The Amity Affliction have announced their ninth full length studio album, House of Cards, set for an April 24th release via Pure Noise Records. The album marks an important first in the band's storied career, ushering in the modern era with clean vocalist Jonny Reeves who became the most recent member of the collective in 2025.
Sharing the album's title track to commence the new campaign, "House of Cards," frames poignant commentary from frontman Joel Birch speaking candidly about the complicated family dynamics that he and his siblings had to navigate in their formative years.
"Our mother died in 2024 and none of us had a healthy relationship with her. She was very self-involved, aggressive, abusive in our early years, and in her later years, spent a good amount of time trying to put a wedge between the three of us. Thankfully, once she passed, the three of us actually became closer as we realized we had individual, but shared trauma related to her."
Along with the new era of The Amity Affliction and the unveiling of the band's most current iteration, 2026 will see a lengthy run of live dates as crew begin their touring slate this mmonth with dates across Australia with In Hearts Wake and Redhook. Returning stateside, The Amity Affliction will begin a spring trek supporting August Burns Red across North America with support from Boundaries and Heavensgate.
