Metalcore stalwarts The Ghost Inside have announced the rollout for their sixth studio album, Searching for Solace, due out April 19th via Epitaph Records. The album follows the success of the band's hailed 2020 self-titled effort - TGI's triumphant return following their horrific tour bus accident in 2015.

Recruiting a team of producers to oversee the project, Searching for Solace saw The Ghost Inside work closely with Dan Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker), as well as tracks handled by Cody Quistad (Wage War), Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Bloodywood).

Thematically, the album further emphasizes the band's miraculous experience and how that loans itself to gratitude for both the good and the bad as part of the journey. “People always ask me how I remain positive,” prefaces frontman Jonathan Vigil. “I’m realizing now that there’s never really a time where you reach that point of ‘happiness.’ It’s a constant journey. I know that life is hills and valleys. You must be willing to embrace new things, stand up for yourself, and adapt. Because the goalposts just move further away. The search for solace never ends.”

Already previewing their next chapter with singles like 'Death Grip" and "Earn It", the band has now shared a third single from the forthcoming project in "Wash It Away". Delving into the theme of how tomorrow is never promised, the band elaborated on the gravity of the track, “It’s really hard to break everything down, start over and rebuild,” they explain.  “Whether that is a relationship, schooling, a career or a business venture. After dedicating so much time to something, it can be scary to lose it and start over.”

Speaking on the creative direction of the album, the band's bassist Jim Riley shared how TGI never veer to far away from their core. “There’s more singing and song structure than on the previous album, but there are also some of the heaviest songs we’ve done,” notes Riley (bass). “We really know who we are, and we also feel comfortable stepping into the future. This is a new chapter, but it’s not disconnected from what the band sounded like before. It’s more of an extension of it. We’re excited by it.”

Coupled with the arrival of the band's sixth full length studio album, The Ghost Inside will set out on a US tour the kicks off on the same day their album lands, April 19th. The extensive tour will include support from Paleface Swiss, Bleed From Within, and Great American Ghost. A complete list of dates and cities can be found below. Tickets are set to go on sale February 9th.
