Metalcore stalwarts The Ghost Inside continue to charge towards the April 19th release of their eagerly-awaited sixth full length studio effort, Searching for Solace. Having shared a succession of emphatic singles, including "Death Grip", "Wash It Away" and "Earn It", the band have delivered a fourth entry from the project that reiterates the catharsis and succinct heft of the 11-track presentation.
For the latest single, "Split" showcases the band's weaponized aggression complete with crushing guitars from Zach Johnson and Chris Davis and forceful percussion from drummer Andrew Tkaczyk. Combined with the commanding delivery of frontman Jonathan Vigil, the track underscores the true potential of a band achieving the next tier in their creative evolution.
Speaking to the conceptual inspiration of the track, Vigil explained, “People always ask me how I remain positive. I’m realizing now that there’s never really a time where you reach that point of ‘happiness.’ It’s a constant journey. I know that life is hills and valleys. You must be willing to embrace new things, stand up for yourself, and adapt. Because the goalposts just move further away. The search for solace never ends.”
Recruiting a team of producers to oversee the project, Searching for Solace saw The Ghost Inside work closely with Dan Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker), as well as tracks handled by Cody Quistad (Wage War), Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Bloodywood).
In celebration of the arrival of the album, The Ghost Inside will embark on a spring headlining tour of the U.S. that will include a strong supporting slate consisting of Paleface Swiss, Bleed From Within, and Great American Ghost. The run will also include festival appearances for The Ghost Inside at both Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple later this spring.
