The Heavy Music Awards has announced the field of finalists for the 2024 installment of the celebration of heavy culture. Set to take place August 22nd at the 02 Forum Kentish Town, London, the ceremony will span span ten categories, pooling a comprehensive community of luminaries ranging fromn global superstars to still emerging sensations. 

Among the standouts, masked enigma Sleep Token lead the pack with four different nominations - earning a spot in the 'Best Album', 'Best UK Artist', 'Best UK Live Artist' and 'Best Album Artwork' slots. Enter Shikari also looks to be a favorite, as the band earned a nod in the 'Best Album', 'Best UK Artist' and 'Best UK Live Artist' categories.  

Empire State Bastard, Creeper and Electric Callboy are among the artists residing in multiple categories on the night, with mainstays like Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica and Blink-182 also earning respective nods. 

Among the biggest takeaways from the 2024 Heavy Music Awards field is the growing contingent of still emerging artists. Bands like Graphic Nature, As Everything Unfolds, Wargasm, Zulu, Kim Dracula and Scene Queen are prominently featured - emphasizing how the Heavy Music Awards is serving well in propping up the next generation of headliners.
