The Hope Conspiracy Soundtracks Society's Decline with "Live In Fear"

The latest molotov previews the band's pending full length due out this month via Deathwish Inc., Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception.

Massachusetts hardcore veterans The Hope Conspiracy continue the rollout for their full length return - the band's first studio album since 2006 with Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception.

Introducing the project with the opening track, "Those Who Gave Us Yesterday" The Hope Conspiracy reasserted their confrontational signature with an intense return to form on a track that framed the divisive, destructive climate of our current culture - pulling no punches ideologically or instrumentally.

Last month, the band doubled down with another volatile reveal from the forthcoming May 31st release via Deathwish Inc. Flexing the uncompromising heft of "The West Is Dead", the hostile three-minute assault again takes aim at a concerning current state of affairs and the self-serving decision makers that prioritize their interests above all else.

Just weeks away from the arrival of the highly-anticipated LP, The Hope Conspiracy have hurled another molotov with the debut of the third offering from the album with dominant and dismal, "Live In Fear". Examining how the media has been weaponized to divide and conquer, the track offers a bleak depiction of how we are all under the rule of thumb via the screen.

Vocalist Kevin Barker doesn't mince his words in discussing the confrtonation loaded on the track. "Americans are the most propagandized population on the planet and have no idea that they are. The latest horrors are broadcast between commercials for pharmaceuticals and fast food."

The issues that divide us get amplified through the media to keep us all on edge and loathing one another while the corporate masters literally strip mine the middle class for all its worth. Non objective voices push just the right buttons on both sides to distract and keep our eyes off of what's really going on."

Baker adds how the strategy of oppression is intended to dodge accountability. "The last thing the establishment would want is a well-educated and united population holding them accountable for their war crimes and genocides. We are told what to think. We are told what to say and we are told what to do. Stay in line and live in fear."

The Kurt Ballou-produced Tools of Oppression / Rule by Deception arrives May 31st via Deathwish Inc. The album is available for pre-order - HERE.
