The S.E.T. Puts On for Baltimore Hardcore

Stream the band's debut single, "T.M.T." and get the details on the forthcoming EP, Self Evident Truth, due out March via Flatspot Records.

Constructed with the intention of championing the sound and culture of hardcore, with an added emphasis on the Baltimore pedigree, The S.E.T. is the newest project comprised of true advocates of the community. Featuring Che Figueroa (founder of Flatspot Records), guitarist Brady Ebert (formerly of Turnstile), drummer Ryan Fauver  (formerly of End It), the band has issued an emphatic introduction with the release of their debut single, "T.M.T.".

Brandishing beefy riffs, brash verses and that brass tacks Baltimore sound, the track strikes with intention and intensity, living up to the ethos of hardcore packaged into a 90-second beatdown. Paired with a street savvy visual helmed by Rob Silver, The S.E.T. puts on for Baltimore. The arrival of the debut track also ushers in the formative first outing, introducing the Self Evident Truth EP due out in March via Flatspot Records

Speaking to the hostility of the project, Brady explained the frustration at the core of the new project. “In the Declaration of Independence the two self evident truths were that all people are created equal, and that everyone has the right to pursue happiness. Unfortunately, the powers that be have forgotten that and are trying to deny us normal working class citizens those truths, and we can’t let that happen.”

Detailing what's between the lines on "T.M.T." the band's frontman Tim did not mince his words. “We live in a society, especially now with this current administration, where the people up top try to defy the truth through propaganda, war, racism and all forms of authoritarian ideas. I wanted this release to define what we are and what we believe the truth is.”

En route to the March 6th release of Self Evident Truth via Flatspot Records, The S.E.T. is confirmed to perform a special hometown set at Disturbin' The Peace on January 31st alongside Hatebreed, End It, Agnostic Front, and more. The show is already sold out and promises to be action-packed.
