Rock music elite, The Used, have added a second leg of their commemorative 25th anniversary tour. Currently trekking through the middle of May on the first leg, the latest slate of dates and cities adds to the band's silver anniversary victory lap and will follow the same three album, three consecutive night format.
The latest run tacks on 6 additional markets to the initial 9 across the United States and include a three-night engagement in each city. On those three nights, the band will perform three of their most celebrated releases, performing 2002 Sell-titled record, 2004's In Love and Death and Lies For The Liars - one album, in full, per night.
The current leg kicked off April 3rd in Detroit and wraps with three nights in San Diego, CA starting May 13th. The second leg begins October 11th in Anaheim, CA and closes with three nights in Philly starting November 10th in Theatre of the Living Arts.
The current leg will also include a penultimate trio of shows at The historic Wiltern in Los Angeles on May 8th, 10th and 11th. Highlighting the band's first three albums, the tour not only marks a generation of The Used, but also showcases some of the band;'s most enduring selections - as all of the albums featured have either been certified Platinum or Gold by the RIAA.
The Used frontman Bert McCracken gushed about the additional dates. "We are so excited for the second leg of this 25 year anniversary tour. This first leg has been absolutely incredible. It’s so fun playing these records in their entirety. We love seeing what each record means to the fans personally. It’s amazing to play songs that we’ve never played before. These first three records means so much to us. We can’t wait to see you there!"
The Used's bassist Jepha also weighed in on the success of the first few anniversary shows and how that has only added to the excitement. "The first leg has been absolutely incredible on the 25 year anniversary tour! It’s incredibly rewarding to perform these records in their entirety. I really have genuinely enjoyed revisiting each record with you all. So excited that we can continue this musical adventure through the first three records with all of you on an extended second leg. Tickets for the second leg of The Used 25th Anniversary Tour are set to go on-sale April 25th at 10am local time.
