Following a recent triumph of a set at the 2024 edition of Cruel World, in addition to a sold out headlining set at The Fonda in Los Angeles last week, TR/ST has unveiled a captivating new track dubbed, "Soon".
The single follows the delivery of a surprise EP via Dais Records. Without any traditional rollout, TR/ST resurfaced unexpectedly earlier this year brandishing a self-titled EP - his first proper studio release since 2019's The Destroyer – Part Two. Touting the compelling pulse of anthems like "Run" featuring Cecile Believe, as well as the previously mentioned "Robrash", the arrival of the EP has been christened with the reveal of a tribute to the 1990 Pet Shop Boys' classic, "Being Boring".
The track serves as the second guest feature on the EP and includes a contribution from Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters. The five-track presentation also featured the official release of the 2015 fan favorite, "Slug" - a track previously only available via Youtube since prior to the official release.
Now, TR/ST has begun what signals a new era with "Soon". The track offers a modernized take on new wave with an infectious cadence and the dark pulse that has become his signature. The single offers a strong indication of what's yet to come.
In addition, TR/ST has confirmed European touring plans for later this year. The headlining stretc of dates begins September 30th in Prague, CZ and concludes in London on October 23rd. See the list of dates and cities below.
