The second single previews the LP, New World Depression, which arrives June 14th.
Recently unveiling their mammoth arena tour with the 2024 edition of Grey Day, Louisiana hip hop outliers $uicideboy$ confirmed a lengthy late summer/early fall run bolstered by supporting sets from Denzel Currry, Pouya, HAARPER, Shakewell, and Ekkstacy. In addition to the news of sprawling trek, $krim and Ruby Da Cherry set a June 14th release date for their next full length album, New World Depression.
$uicideboy$ capitalized on release of the single, "Us Vs Them" with the quick follow up in dropping details on the next full length. While the single has since been soaring on streaming services with several additions to various playlists, the track serves as an indicator of what's to come - with an album that further delves into weighty themes including navigating fame, veering from self-destruction, the journey of self-discovery in a climate of chaos.
The album will be available via $b's own G59 Records and will hold added significance - marking the 10th anniversary of the start of $uicideboy$.
Delivering the next preview from the album, $uicideboy$ emphasized their more melodic side with the release of 'ARE YOU GOING TO SEE THE ROSE IN THE VASE, OR THE DUST ON THE TABLE?" Aover a steady, stylized backbeat, the duo wax poetic with bars that rehash personal trauma, isolation and the frail balance of self-destruction versus healthy coping. The track finds the tandem at their most introspective - underscoring their continued growth as creatives.
The latest Grey Day Tour will nurture a partnership between $uicideboy$ and PLUS1 advocating for mental health. $1 per ticket will go towards the organization which offers vital services and resources for helping those most in need.
