Late last year, UK death metal veterans Ingested announced they had parted ways with vocalist Jason Evans. Though his tenure with the band spanned the entirety of their discography dating back to their 2009 debut, Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering, all parties involved seemed to agree a change was necessary to evolve the project. 

Proceeding ahead, the band's founding duo in original members Lyn Jeffs and Sean Hynes have revealed the newest iteration of Ingested, introducing a bolstered configuration which welcomes Josh Davies on vocals, Andrew Virrueta on guitars and Thomas O’Malley on bass. 

Speaking to the refreshed line-up and the vision of the next chapter of Ingested, Jeffs and Hynes shared and auspicious outlook for the future fo the band. “With this new lineup, we are stronger, more focused, and more determined than ever to push INGESTED to the next level. This is INGESTED 2.0 — a team united by a shared vision to create the most punishing, uncompromising music of our career."

As the reconstructed version of Ingested prepare to embark on their first tour as a unit, the band have shared their first offering of new music. The standalone track "Altar of Flesh" is a pummeling reminder of the band's technical prowess along with their crushing brand of brutality as one of the UK's most consistent death metal practitioners.

Ingested are set to begin a run on North America this week supported Aborted on the Terrifying North America tour. The trek kicks off February 13th in Roseville, California and wraps March 15th in Phoenix, Arizona. Additional support will be provided by Peeling Flesh and Stabbing.
