Despite a long, healthy tenure and a well-received 2024 LP, The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams, via Metal Blade Records, UK death metal stalwarts Ingested have announced they have split with vocalist Jason Evans. The union spanned the entirety of the band's acclaimed discography dating back to their 2009 debut, Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering.

Addressing the decision via social media, Ingested shared the news with fans by publishing a very polished statement.

After many years of collaboration, we want to announce that we have parted ways with Jason Evans. This decision was not made lightly, but we all agree it’s the best step for the future of the band and for Jason.

We are incredibly grateful for the memories shared over the years, and we wish Jason all the best in his future endeavors.

The band remains committed to creating music and moving forward with new projects that we are excited to share with you soon. Thank you to all our fans for your continued support through this new chapter.

Evans would also share his own statement regarding the split, acknowledging the lengthy run and the big shift this would be for him personally, though he remained optimistic about the future.

“After 18 years, I am no longer the vocalist of Ingested. It feels pretty weird to say that, ’cause it’s been most of my life. But I just want to thank all my family and friends for their unending support, all the friends that I’ve made through touring over the years, and most importantly all the fans, for making all this happen.

This isn’t the end for me. I’m happy, I’m healthy, I’m surrounded by people I love. I’m excited to find out what the next chapter in my life’s gonna be. I’m proud of everything that I’ve achieved over the past two decades. That music’s always gonna be there…”

The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams arrived back in April via Metal Blade Records.
