German heavy prospects Unprocessed have announced the full length follow-up to their 2023 full length, ...and everything in between. The album, Angel, is set to arrive October 31st and showcases the band's continued evolution - bolstering their mutli-faceted approach to heavy music while indulging elements of electronic and pop for an especially potent attack.
Issuing a succession of singles in "Snowlover," "Sacrifice Me" and "Dark, Silent and Complete," the band have made their new era official with the confirmation of their next full length presentation. The band shared their current vantage point and how the celestial theme of Angel was something they fully explored while making the album.
"This album is more than just a record by four boys from Germany - it’s a light shone upon the unknown, like memories from the afterlife. We explored the concept of "Angel" in various ways: becoming an angel through real-life actions, hearing angels serenade, a fallen angel telling his story and becoming the Antichrist, or seeing someone as an angel through glorification. This concept inspired both the music and the lyrics."
The band went onto explain how Angel intends to find a balance of progression, while ensuring everything signature to Unprocessed remains in tact. "While we’re leaning more into a polished metalcore sound, the record still maintains the essence of what makes Unprocessed unique. It features some of the craziest guitar, bass, and drum work we've ever showcased as a band. At the same time, we believe it’s more accessible to the broader metal and metalcore audience, with our strongest and catchiest hooks and melodies to date.”
Offering evidence of the band's progressive strides, "Solara" serves as the powerful next preview from the album - one that enlists vocalist Marc "Zelli" Zellweger of Paleface Swiss for a potent joint effort along with Unprocessed frontman, Manuel Gardner Fernandes.
The band shared, "With 'Solara' we were able to bring worlds together, leaning more into metalcore while maintaining our core essence, bringing in drum and bass influences for the first time. This track also features one of our absolute favourite vocalists of the scene- Zelli. His flow, timbre and lyricism is nothing short of amazing and we’re proud to present it to the world!"
