Djent heavy collective Veil of Maya, despite having an especially busy year, have announced they will suspend future touring plans and will be going on an extended hiatus. Just last year the band delivered their first full length album in some six years with the release of [m]other.
Though the band navigated some online backlash for their top billing for the return of the 2024 Summer Slaughter tour, the band was expected to close out the year strong with a comprehensive European run opposite ascending deathcore unti, Signs of the Swarm.
Taking to the band's social media platform, Veil of Maya offered few details for the about face, however did share that they will update the fans when the time feels more appropriate and did leave the door open to come back refreshed.
The band's official statement read,
“We have made the difficult decision to have Veil Of Maya. go on hiatus and we will not be playing any of the upcoming festivals or tours.
We apologize to our fans and appreciate everyone’s support over the years. This break is necessary for us to reassess our future, and we hope you understand. When the time feels right, we’ll update you on what’s next for Veil Of Maya
We will be back.
