The tandem of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way have launched their first offensive of 2024 and paired it with some serious firepower with a guest assist from none other than Corey Taylor of Slipknot.
"70% Dead" showcases the unfiltered, albeit stylized aggression that has become signature to Wargasm, while pushing the boundaries of their creativity on a track that is pure revelry. The single follows the celebrated release of their 2023 LP, Venom, which was propelled by the success of effective singles like “Do It So Good”, “Bang Ya Head” ft. Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst and “Modern Love”.
Packed with all the scathing social commentary that the duo has become celebrated for, "70% Dead" is the potent combination of articulate angst, aided by one of the best to ever do it.
The band said of the release, “We were on the road in the USA with Corey - Sam ended up jumping on a mic with him during his set and we just felt like the voices sounded right together. It totally made sense to do something fresh with the three of us and well…. you don’t ask you don’t get.
Some OG fans might recognise the lyrics, this has been a long time coming. "70% Dead" is a cry out at a world gone mad; war, disease, inequality. It feels like something is brewing. ‘Fuck me, what went wrong? I’m sick of sleeping on the barrel of a loaded gun.”
The single lands as the band prepare to perform at 2000Trees as well as a handful of additional dates and festival appearances. A complete list of tour dates can be found - HERE
