The tandem of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way have resurfaced with their first submission of new music on the year and it's a barnburner. Establishing their autonomy as independent artists once more, Wargasm go for the jugular with their latest, "Vigilantes".
The explosive track combines a potent mix of brash pop, electronic glitch and the confrontational stance of punk in what amounts to a genre-bending meld of hyper energy and hostility. The balance of synth and riffs underscores how Wargasm continue to defy genre lines and thrive in paving their own sonic lane.
"Months and months of turmoil, love, hate, and passion has gone into 'Vigilantes,'" explained Matlock and Way. "We have waited so long to release this for you and with it, Wargasm are excited to be an unsigned band again. This is turbulence bottled, shaken, and injected right into your ear drums. Everything about Wargasm is energy. We hope you feel something."
Along with the reveal of new music, the duo have confirmed their first-ever headlining tour of North America set for later this year. Wargasm will hit the road starting August 31st in Pryor, OK with an appearance at Rocklahoma. From there, the band will spend a month trekking the region, capped off by a set at Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY on September 21st.
