New York non-conformists Show Me the Body recently stopped in for an in-studio appearance for Spotify Live Room Series. The performance sessions feature intimate, unique renditons of songs from artists emerging and established.
Out in support of their universally-acclaimed Loma Vista Recordings and AOTY contender, Alone Together, the band got down to brass tacks with an in-studio performance that proved just as powerful despite the absence of a live audience.
Working in a little of the unexpected, Show Me the Body complimented "So What's Right (Happy)" from their latest album with a rendition of Charli XCX's "Rock Music". Weighty low-end, driving percussion and the menacing vocal cadence of Julian Pratt transform en vogue pop into something with a more serrated edge.
The Spotify Live Room Session lands as the band continue their victory lap on their Alone Together US/Canadian headlining tour. Along with support from Whispers, Lip Critic, Truck Violence, Holder, Combust and Crown of Thornz, the tour assembles some of the most exciting, progressive bands each with the DNA of hardcore.
