It's been a blockbuster week for Comedy Central. Making headlines this week in announcing their massive deal with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the cable network has delivered another gem, revealing their season 3 acquisition of the Mike Judge institution, Beavis and Butt-head.
While the first two seasons of the reboot were exclusive to Paramount+, the series made the shift last year, announcing it would air on Comedy Central. Marking the 11th season of the show since it's inception in 1993, the series would enjoy it's initial run into 1997 before halting after 7 seasons. A short-lived revival would happen in 2011 with an updated version of the series returning to the MTV network. The franchise would also include two feature length films in 1996's Beavis and Butt-head Do America and 2022's Beavis and Butt-head Do the Universe.
For the third and most recent season of the rebooted series, Beavis and Butt-head score plenty more laughs as the underachieving duo pack on some extra pounds, become an intergalactic threat and negoiate the purchase of metal music legends, Metallica.
