Deathcore OGs Whitechapel have delivered another forceful offering from their acclaimed Hymns In Dissonance LP that arrived earlier this year via Metal Blade Records.

Unleashing a new music video for the track "Prisoner 666," the track is featured on the latest album and is showcased with a clip that compiles live footage from the band's explosive performances. 

Detailing some context to the track, frontman Phil Bozeman shared the chronology of the single with this album cycle and explained how the song helps build the thematic narrative at the core of the album. 

‘Prisoner 666’ was the first song we wrote and musically feels like the 2014/2021 WHITECHAPEL morphing back into the 2006-2010 WHITECHAPEL and continuing the 2006-2010 era for the rest of the album. This is the beginning of the narrative of ‘the last living son’ of the Father Of Lies coming to be. Relinquishing his faith, religion, burning the church, and serving Satan, who he believes is his father.”

Guitarist Alex Wade shared the same sentiment and detailed how the song harkens classic Whitechapel. “It’s got heavy ‘Saw Is The Law’ [from the band’s 2014 Our Endless War full-length] vibes in the opening groove; it’s like we took that song and made it more epic and melodic. The beats per minute are pretty similar to ‘Saw….’"

The newest clip for "Prisoner 666" arrives as the band prepare for their Rituals Of Hate headlining tour. The comprehensive fall trek begins November 12th and extends through December 14th and will feature a performance in full of Hymns In Dissonance along with Whitechapel essentials. Supporting sets from Bodysnatcher, Angelmaker and Disembodied Tyrant make the run a can't miss tour of the season.
