Norwegian black metal feminists Witch Club Satan are set to begin their first-ever U.S. campaign this month, with a succession of headlining dates across major North American markets for a 15-date stretch.
Ahead of the Founding the North American Coven tour, the collective have shared another haunting assault in the form their latest single, "The Kids Will Kill Us."
Pairing unsettling imagery with the harsh, caustic tenor of the trio's combined sonic onslaught, the track is fierce showing of black metal tradition, fused with unflinching confrontation between the lines. With stanzas likes "I refuse to bow down to your downfall. I refuse to take part in your war. My powers will outgrow yours," Witch Club Satan assert a potent brand of defiance that takes aim at violence, subjugation and the societal status quo hurling faster toward moral collapse.
In a statement shared with the release of the teack, the band offer a simple, albeit poignant matter of fact - "Hope is a kind of curse. You can never rest." The band continue with a call-to-action for the disenfranchised, urging resistance through art, "I testament all of my trust to the lost generation, restore what was. Help me, save us."
Witch Club Satan are set to take North America by storm starting May 27th in Philadelphia, PA. The trek closes out June 16th in Seattle, WA and includes supporting sets from Penelope Trappes and Patriarchy on select dates. Additionally, Witch Club Satan have been confirmed for a slate of European festival dates, including plays at Resurrection Festival in Spain, Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic and Motocultor Festival in France to list a few.
