Domestic black metal force Wolves In the Throne Room have announced plans to hit the road in support of the band's pending Relapse Records LP, Estuary. The headlining trek across Canada and the U.S. will featured added support from Stygian Bough and Spirit Possession and will begin January 12th in Vancouver, circling back to the Pacific Northwest with a finale in Seattle, WA on February 10th.
The band recently reveal a harrowing glimpse 1000 years into the future with the title track to, Estuary. Combining time-tested analog production techniques with a progressive approach to black metal tradition, the single reasserts WITTR as one of the genre's most formidable forces with a entry that is equally bold and brutal.
WITTR's Nathan Weaver explained the thematic depth of the album, "Our new LP 'Estuary' is set 1000 years in the future after the end of civilization. Survivors of a cataclysm wander the haunted ruins. It is a world of mutant creatures and open portals. Post-apocalyptic religion takes form in a wild landscape.”
In addition to the pending release and the now firmed tour dates, Wolves In the Throne Room will headline the winter retreat at Colorado's famed Stanley Hotel presented by Fire In the Mountains. The weekender tales place from January 15th through the 17th and is already sold out. .Get info - HERE
