Regarded as one of the biggest touring packages on the year, Avenged Sevenfold made good and exceeded expectation for the Los Angeles stop of their North American summer trek. Paired with support from heavyweights in A Day to Remember and Good Charlotte, BMO Stadium in the heart of Los Angeles welcomed a fanatic, sold out crowd in what proved a profound, jovial homecoming for one of rock music's most celebrated collectives. 

Along with an opening, behind-the-curtain set as their experimental STATICA incarnation, Avenged Sevenfold is clearly relishing their role as stadium leaders among the genre. Ensuring the fans got their fill with collection of hits in "Bat Country," "Hail to the King" and a booming opening with "Nightmare," the band's more progressive entries also shared the shine. 

Selections like ""Nobody" from Life Is But A Dream... and the standalone single of "Magic" asserted the band's more unconventional approach, creating an added element of live spectacle that ratcheted up the drama of the band's production. As the band's setlist rolled out, the amalgam of styles that has long defined the A7X sound became more evident as entries like "Seize the Day" and "M.I.A." live reiterated how the band had long established their itch for experimentation. 

Going back-to-back in showcasing classic and contemporary versions of the band, the anthemic "Unholy Confessions" incited stadium-sized pandemonium. Followed closely by the orchestral scope of "Cosmic" which left the same fans awestruck, the band's summation was one that spoke to their continued evolution and the confidence that their most loyal fans were more than willing to come along for the ride.
