Metal pillars Corrosion of Conformity reemphasized their esteemed seniority during the Los Angeles stop of the Good God/Baad Man North American tour. In full swing of the second leg of the run,Pepper Keenan, Woody Weatherman, Bobby Landgraf and touring drummer Nick Shabatura conducted a mighty, metallic clinic that showcased both CoC classics and current essentials from their latest double album masterclass. 

Flying out of the gate, the band opened their night at The Regent with a booming rendition of "Asleep On the Killing Floor" that collective blew the floor's head back. Among American metal's most venerated OG's, the band was not reliant on their legacy and intent on showing that decades into their tenure, they were still scrappy as all hell. 

Heavy groove was in abundance as modern takes like "Lose Yourself" and "You Or Me" blanketed the room. From the rich guitar tone to Keenan's distinct croon to Stanton Moore's jazzy, percussive punch sharply executed by Shabatura, the contemporary era of Corrosion married well with the classics. 

Underscoring the band's ability to craft songs built to last, their Volume Dealer classics like "13 Angels" felt fresh as ever, asserting the kind of soulful swagger that has long separated CoC from any of their contemporaries. And of course no CoC set would be complete without a healthy dose of Deliverance. From "Seven Days" to "My Grain," and the ageless anthems in "Albatross" and the finale of "Clean My Wounds," tit's evident that the band is finding a new stride well into their tenure.
