Jinjer made good on their promise to save some of their very best for last, as the band completed the final run of live dates to close out their Duel album cycle. Jinjer's first headlining tour of the region since 2024, the band got reacquainted with a capacity crowd inside The WIltern in Los Angeles for a powerful reminder of magnitude of their commanding live set.
Establishing the standard on the night, the album's title track shook the theater and quickly served as a emphatic reminder of Jinjer's wall of sound. Standout tracks like "Green Serpent" and "Kafka" asserting a dramatic sense of dynamics with a kind of consuming quality that captivated fans and culminated with a crashing crescendo.
Among the night's more memorable takeaways, the breakneck intensity of "Fast Draw" and the clobbering cadence of "Hedonist" underscored the might of one of metal's most durable units while celebrating the career achievement that was the band's 2025 LP.
Bridging the different eras of the band, Jinjer utilized the final stretch of their set to pair long-tenured favorites like "Pisces" and "Sit Stay Roll Over" with some of Duel's instant classics in "Someone's Daughter" and "Rogue." The statement of merging old and new not only proved effective with fans, but offered an emphatic conclusion that punctated this cycle, while hinting that the best is likely yet to come.
