Under the banner of Knotfest Roadshow Florida mainstays Trivium teamed with Ohio powerhouse Beartooth for a mammoth one-two, heading a spring trek that was a can't miss from the second it was confirmed.

Bolstered by the addition of UK sensation Malevolence and the national introduction of Archetypes Collide, the cross country jaunt has been met with capacity crowds in every city - with every night showcasing a masterclass in both musicianship and stage spectacle.

For Trivium, the spring trek finds the band sharing selections from their two most recent studio offerings in 2020’s What the Dead Men Say and 2021’s In The Court of the Dragon - all in addition to essentials from their vast catalog. Charging through favorites like "Like Light to Flies," The Sin and the Sentence" and "In Waves" the veterans submitted a balanced set that reiterated their songwriting prowess, the enduring quality of their songs and undeniable live chops.

Flexing a bit of flair, Trivium even brought out Josh Baines from Malevolence for an electric rendition of "The Heart From Your Hate" that ignited the Sunday crowd.

As for Beartooth, Caleb Shomo emphasized why he is regarded as one of the best frontmen in the game. From the opening pummel of "Devastation", the band clarified their intentions of ensuring that everyone in the building would remember this night. Sourcing vital cuts from from 2014's Disgusting through 2021's Below, Beartooth showcased their breadth of their catalog in a 13-song set that hit the entire auditorium in the chest.

Closing the show with the dramatic finale of "The Last Riff" from Below, Beartooth's last blow proved their most effective, delivering a gut punch of a track that forced the fans to collect their breath as the band walked off victorious.

Reiterating the complete package of the tour, the opening sets from Malevolence and Archetypes Collide were pure reward for the fans that opted to be punctual. For Malevolence, their brand of relentlessness shined through, unloading a barrage live volatility with circle pit anthems from Malicious Intent.

The opener in Archetypes Collide also proved impressive with a submission of anthemic, arena-ready rock that commanded the crowd. The well-executed balance of melody and heft from the band's 2023 self-titled effort shined in the live set - and if that wasn't enough - the band covered Linkin Park's "One Step Closer" for good measure.
