Tribe Leaders Top 50 beefs up with new singles from Gojira & Fear Factory plus tracks from album drops from Cannibal Corpse, While She Sleeps and Greta Van Fleet.
Gojira continues its assault on 2021 as they inch closer to ‘Fortitude’ on April 30th (Pre-order the album – HERE). This time flexing a new muscle on Monday's release "Into the Storm". They're clearly the current trend of the genre with three additional tracks in the top 12 with "Amazonia" (which raised $120,000 to benefit the indigenous-owned NGO The Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (APIB) – an organization advocating for environmental and cultural rights of indigenous tribes in the Amazon of which have fallen victim to land loss, forced labor, and crippling poverty), "Born for One Thing" and the resurgence of "Another World". Two more weeks to taste the full meal.
Cannibal Corpse is back with their first album since 2017's 'Red Before Black' and their 15th! since shocking the world back in 1990 with the debut 'Eaten Back To Life'. 'Violence Unimagined' has already seen "Inhumane Harvest" & "Murderous Rampage" hit the Top 50, and today's track "Necrogenic Resurrection" will slide on there as well.
In today's interview with Mosh Talks' Beez, frontman George Corpsegrinder Fisher says 'Violence Unimagined' is One of the Band's Best.
The veteran frontman also details the recording process during the pandemic, cancel culture, and Metal infiltrating everywhere.
While She Sleeps finally released the highly-anticipated 'SLEEPS SOCIETY' today. The band first teased the album back in Oct of 2020 with the release of "Sleeps Society", followed by "You Are All You Need" and lastly "Nervous" featuring Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil, all of which hit the Top 50. Today's electro fueled beatdown "Systematic" joins "Sleeps Society" and "Nervous" still on the chart.
'Sleeps Society' begins a new chapter in the band’s storied career that aims to rethink the model of interaction and sustainability between artists and their fans. Equal parts new album and mission statement, Sleeps Society galvanizes the WSS community under an interactive platform that allows fans to provide direct support to the band and gain unprecedented access and exclusive content in return.
In an interview with Mosh Talks' Beez, Welsh would call 'SLEEPS SOCIETY' the band's MONSTER RECORD
Throwback rockers Greta Van Fleet release their second album, continuing their homage and infusing the latest album with a more diverse blend of classic rock influences for a more refined precise sound. Following the success of the darkened "Age of Machine" (still charting in the Top 30 two months later), the band celebrates the release of 'The Battle at Garden's Gate' with today's firestarter "Built By Nations".
"Parasite Eve" from Bring Me the Horizon continues to hold the top spot on the playlist, followed by Architect's "Animals" and Gojira's "Amazonia". Last week's "Fields of Bone" from Black Veil Brides places in the top 10 alongside System of a Down, Beartooth, ADTR, Sabaton, Evanescence and Atreyu.

The week, the Pulse of the Maggots playlist redefines the genre with Tommy Cash and Sullivan King transforming the norms.
Tommy Cash enlists BONES for a stirring rolling street strike over a "Tattered & Torn" sample on the latest "Siri". Slipknot's anthemic classic effortlessly lays the darkened unnerving setting while the hammering beats fully flesh out a horrific experience that both Cash and BONES take full advantage of with their individual signature tones, BONES bringing deepened bass tones with Cash supplying the abrasively caustic. The track spotlights just how advance Slipknot was back in '99 and conversely, that the future really is genreless.
On the topic of genreless, Sullivan King continues to lay waste to definitions with his latest super team-up with Papa Roach's Jacoby Shaddix and Kayzo (who previously mixed Papa Roach on the 2018 rework of "Last Resort"). This might be King's heaviest and most seemless blend into the metal genre with full throttle crushing guitars layered over an EDM track blueprint equipped with a full blown heavy electronic explosion chorus. The future is here and it's going to be fucking crazy.
To the Grave's brutal behind the curtains animal-cruelty video for “Kill Shelter” premiered yesterday on Knotfest.com. The track will help complete today's 'Epilogue' release that combines their 2019 self-released debut ‘Global Warning’ with seven new additional tracks. Read the full story here.
Ghost Iris's devastating "Cult" continues the build towards May 7th and the release of their 4th album 'Comatose' - which has presumably already teased "Paper Tiger", "Desert Dread" and "Cold Sweat" - all of which have attacked the Pulse playlist upon release.
Bitterwood makes their debut appearance on the playlist with just their fourth track. The metal/hardcore slammers follow up their take-notice track "Paradigm" with today's brutal takedown "White Noise" enlisting Final Words and announcing their signing to We Are Triumphant (who also featured playlist favs Dead/Awake).
Joining the hardcore newcomer wave is Paris' Sorcerer's as their third ever track, "Joy", explodes on the playlist.
Texas' metalcore outfit, Bloodline fiercely attack again this week with "Separated". The track sees the band up the aggressions following "Leave the Past and Enter Flow" which had previously appeared on Pulse.
gloo's charismatically punk "Big Smoke" is this week's windows down, jam out. "Inertia" puts Scar of the Sun on a must watch list. While, We Are Pigs infuse nu-metal with new generational blood on the scary head slamming "Moot".
The black metal electronica “Sekhmet”, the latest track from the Luna 13 x Lilith Bathory project, God.Dis premiered Monday on Knotfest.com. The tandem’s latest is among the effort’s heaviest, indulging the band’s black metal sensibilities in a track that plays out like a spiraling decent into the bowels of hell.
Additionally, new tracks from Softspoken and Belle Haven join last week's releases from Our Hollow, Our Home, Defocus, Osiah, Scarlxrd and more already on the playlist.

New Flesh (Most Recent 100 Tracks) is burning up thanks to red-hot releases from Silverstein, Escape the Fate, $uicideboy$, Bloodred Hourglass, Trash Boat, The Offspring, Hail the Sun and more
Bloodred Hourglass continues to impress with the hyperspeed metal thumping eruption "Veritas". The track accompanies welcomed news of a full album coming sometime in '21.
Trash Boat highlights the best of pop-metal on "Silence is Golden" with a chorus that can match Top 40 but evoking enough biting riffs to keep the pit moving, Trash Boat waives the flag for the crossover movement to bring metal back into the mainstream.
Someone has really pissed off Silverstein. Following a trend somewhat started with last year's "Burn It Down" and "Infinite", Silverstein is seemingly getting more brutal with every release culminating in today's enraged destructive "Bankrupt". If I saw them in an alleyway, I would straight up turn around, they're clearly unleashed.
Escape the Fate's 'Chemical Warfare' drops today behind the combined power of "Not My Problem" feat. Travis Barker, "Invisible" feat. Lindsey Stirling and today's "Lightning Strike".
Hail the Sun's "Misfire" ushers in 'New Age Filth', an album vocalist/drummer Donovan Melero called "a therapeutic show of artistry that is arguably the band's most ambitious yet" in a Knotfest Interview with Yvonne Villasenor.
"Hassan Chop" sees The Offspring ferociously hit their early straight fire punk roots in a release day party for their 10th album 'Let the Band Times Roll'.
Salem, the goth punk side project from Creeper frontman William Gould and collaborator Matt Reynolds, layer in some 80s style moody romantic swooning on the playlist. The band's second EP, Salem II will hit May 7th. While Die Apokalyptischen Reiter's latest "Tiki" is a fierce warrior anthem not to be missed.
Solence, Wednesday 13, Pendulum, Royal Blood, Holding Absence and a Fever 333 remix of Nova Twins' "Undertaker" round the rest of these week's adds joining major hitters (Lamb of God, Butcher Babies, Bodom After Midnight), new acts (Tetratch, Hyro the Hero, As Everything Unfolds) and everything in between on the New Flesh Playlist.
