Metalcore vets The Devil Wears Prada are running with their academic slant on the genre and leaning into the success of their previous Metalcore Dropout tours with their next live campaign. Confirming the Metalcore Spring Break tour, TDWP will set out on a monthlong stretch of shows across the country, with festival stops at Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville included in the trek.
The Metalcore Spring Break Tour kicks off April 17th in Wichita, KS and closes out May 16th in Charleston, SC - leading into the band's set at Daytona Intyernational Speedway for Welcome to Rockville. The jaunt also features a stellar cast of supporting sets with ERRA, Kingdom of Giants and Acres all joining the caravan.
Reiterating the celebratory nature of the band's live sets, The Devil Wears Prada expressed their eagerness to get back to the road. "We're beyond excited to announce Metalcore Spring Break! This tour is going to be a full-blown celebration of metalcore gone wild, featuring awesome performances from ERRA, Kingdom of Giants, and Acres. It's going to be massive energy, insane production, and a setlist with all the hits and some surprises you won't want to miss. In an appropriate tip of the hat to the fans, The Devil Wears Prada have also released an acoustic of their biggest streaming single, "Chemical". Coupled with the emotive performance of the stripped track, the visual frames the connection the band has been able to keep with their fans - a fitting message given their recent schedule confirmation.
"To mark five incredible years of 'Chemical' and its impact on both our band and fans, we’ve recorded a special stripped-down version that lays bare the raw emotion and meaning behind the song," the band explained. "Playing it every night on the Eternal Tour has been one of the most powerful moments of the show, and we wanted to share this intimate version with fans around the world. Thanks for listening, it's only 'Chemical.'"
