Directed by Felix Fuchssteiner and Katharina Schöde, German horror film The Privilege is about a wealthy teen and his friends attending an elite private school. Once there, they uncover a dark conspiracy while looking into a series of strange supernatural events.
‘Rick & Morty (Season 5)’ (Hulu / HBO Max)
Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's animated smash hit Rick & Morty has endured on Adult Swim not only for its inversion of sci-fi tropes, clever pop culture riffing and raw hilarity, but also its profound takes on what makes people good and bad. This latest season is just as inventive and entertaining as ever, but with more room for character development than ever before.
‘All the Moons’ (Shudder)
North of Spain, at the end of the 19th century, during the final throes of the last Carlist war, a little girl is rescued from an orphanage by a mysterious woman after it’s destroyed by a bomb. Wounded and close to death, the girl believes the woman is an angel coming to take her to Heaven. Soon, however, she discovers that this strange being has given her is the gift of eternal life by turning her into a vampire. Directed by Basque filmmaker Igor Legarreta (When You No Longer Love Me), All the Moons won Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Audience Awards at the Fantasia International Film Festival.
‘Antlers’ (HBO Max)
From acclaimed fantasy film producer Guillermo del Toro and director Scott Cooper comes this disquieting horror thriller written by C. Henry Chaisson, Nick Antosca and Cooper. In Antlers, small-town Oregon elementary school teacher Julia Meadows (Keri Russell) notices something is "off" about Lucas, one of her students. He's a quiet loner, and when asked to join in storytelling and drawing assignments, he presents disturbing material about mythical beasts inspired by local lore. Concerned, Julia seeks to learn more about Lucas's home life. When it appears that he is living in dire conditions, Julia and her brother Paul (Jesse Plemons), the town's sheriff, explore further, eventually discovering that Lucas is harboring a dangerous secret. When they ultimately learn the whole truth about Lucas's family, things take a terrifying turn. Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane and Amy Madigan also star in this chilling story that ties an ancient terror to insatiable human greed and its modern wages of poverty, addiction and environmental devastation.

‘The Book of Boba Fett’ (Disney+)
With Boba Fett officially back in Star Wars thanks to The Mandalorian, the legendary bounty hunter (with Temuera Morrison reprising the role) has now received his own spin-off series. Along with mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), The Book of Boba Fett has the two navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer. All seven episodes are now streaming.
‘Peacemaker’ (HBO Max)
A spin-off for John Cena’s popular jingoist character from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad last year, Peacemaker puts Cena front and center. The series goes into the origins of Christopher Smith AKA Peacemaker, a hero and villain dedicated to achieving peace at any cost. Gunn wrote all eight episodes and directed five of them, so his signature sense of humor is all over it. It’s wacky, shocking, smart, and a ton of fun. The first seven episodes are now streaming, with the finale coming next week.
‘Euphoria’ (HBO Max)
This HBO teen drama about love, violence, identity, sex, and drugs returns for a second season to continue the misadventures of Rue (Zendaya), Jules (Hunter Schafer), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Nate (Jacob Elordi), and others. The first five episodes of season 2 are now streaming.
‘The Righteous Gemstones’ (HBO Max)
This impeccable and hilarious HBO comedy from Danny McBride follows a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work. It stars McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Adam DeVine, and more. The family seeks to expand their empire of mega churches, no matter who gets crushed along the way. ‘The Afterparty’ (AppleTV+)
Christopher Miller and creative partner Phil Lord have become the go-to duo for wildly imaginative, genre-bending meta flair, making everything from 21 Jump Street to The Lego Movie to producing hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Their latest endeavor is The Afterparty, a murder mystery series. When a high school reunion’s afterparty ends in a death, everyone is a suspect. A detective (Tiffany Haddish) grills the former classmates one by one, uncovering potential motives as each tells their version of the story – culminating in the shocking truth. ‘Pam & Tommy’ (Hulu)
This series follows the true story of the tumultuous, steamy and dysfunctional relationship between two superstars – Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee – following the release of their infamous honeymoon sex tape. Paving the way for a slew of other celebrity sex tapes that would follow with the rise of the internet, the scandal blew up the two to new levels of fame – for better and worse. Lily James stars as Pamela the Baywatch star with Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee the Mötley Crüe rockstar, alongside Seth Rogen playing porn actor turned electrician Rand Gauthier, the man who stole the tape and blackmailed the couple. The series also stars Nick Offerman as porn producer Uncle Miltie, who mass-produced the tape in order to sell it online, as well as Taylor Schilling playing Erica Gauthier.
