‘Fresh’ (Hulu)
Directed by Mimi Cave, Fresh follows Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones), who meets the alluring Steve (Sebastian Stan) at a grocery store and - given her frustration with dating apps - takes a chance and gives him her number. After their first date, Noa is smitten and accepts Steve's invitation to a romantic weekend getaway. Only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites. The film is a thriller with a smart sense of humor that explores the perils of modern dating.
‘Against the Ice’ (Netflix)

‘The Scary of Sixty-First’ (Shudder)
While out apartment hunting, college pals Noelle (Madeline Quinn) and Addie (Betsey Brown) stumble upon the deal of a lifetime: a posh duplex on Manhattan's Upper East Side. But soon after moving in, a more sinister picture of the apartment emerges when a mysterious woman arrives and claims the property used to belong to the infamous and recently-deceased Jeffrey Epstein. With this news, Noelle becomes obsessed with the visitor to the point of infatuation. As the pair plunge deeper into the conspiracies of the Epstein case, Addie falls into her own bizarre state: a pseudo-possession complete with inexplicable fits of age-regressed sexual mania. As they peel back on these strange occurrences, the truth reveals itself to be more twisted than they could have ever imagined.
‘Drive My Car’ (HBO Max)

Adapted from Haruki Murakami’s short story, Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s Drive My Car is a haunting road movie traveling a path of love, loss, acceptance, and peace.
‘F9’ (HBO Max)

‘West Side Story’ (HBO Max / Disney+)
Watching a Steven Spielberg movie is always going to be a good experience, but it’s been awhile since America’s most famous filmmaker delivered something as immediately captivating as his adaptation of West Side Story. The tragedy of star-crossed lovers María (Rachel Zegler) and Tony (Ansel Elgort) has remained a classic for its beautifully timeless music and lyrics by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, and from Spielberg’s opening crane shot to the finale, he does it justice and then some. Every frame is a painting, the musical’s iconic choreography is as stunning as it’s ever been, and what Spielberg’s longtime collaborator, cinematographer Janusz Kamiński, brings is indispensible: True movie magic.
‘Benedetta’ (Hulu)
Directed by Paul Verhoeven, Benedetta has been making waves since its release last year with its more than provocative exploration of sexual freedom and extreme faith. Based on a true story, a 17th-century nun (Virginia Efira) becomes entangled in a forbidden lesbian affair with a novice (Daphne Patakia). But it is Benedetta's shocking religious visions that threaten to shake the Church to its core.
‘Pieces of Her’ (Netflix)
A woman (Bella Heathcote) pieces together her mother's (Toni Collette) dark past after a violent attack in their small town brings hidden threats and deadly secrets to light. This limited thriller series is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Karin Slaughter.
‘Star Trek: Picard (Season 2)’ (Paramount+)
Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his companions are trapped in the 21st century when reality is broken by Q (John de Lancie) as part of the ultimate trial for Picard. They must race against time to save the future of the galaxy. The second season of the recent Star Trek spin-off show will feature several appearances from The Next Generation characters.
'The Town That Dreaded Sundown’ (Shudder)
65 years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, the so-called "moonlight murders" begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl (Dawn Wells), with dark secrets of her own, may be the key to catching him.

‘The Afterparty’ (AppleTV+)
Christopher Miller and creative partner Phil Lord have become the go-to duo for wildly imaginative, genre-bending meta flair, making everything from 21 Jump Street to The Lego Movie to producing hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Their latest endeavor is The Afterparty, a murder mystery series. When a high school reunion’s afterparty ends in a death, everyone is a suspect. A detective (Tiffany Haddish) grills the former classmates one by one, uncovering potential motives as each tells their version of the story – culminating in the shocking truth. All episodes are now streaming such a second season confirmed.
‘Pam & Tommy’ (Hulu)
This series follows the true story of the tumultuous, steamy and dysfunctional relationship between two superstars – Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee – following the release of their infamous honeymoon sex tape. Paving the way for a slew of other celebrity sex tapes that would follow with the rise of the internet, the scandal blew up the two to new levels of fame – for better and worse. Lily James stars as Pamela the Baywatch star with Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee the Mötley Crüe rockstar, alongside Seth Rogen playing porn actor turned electrician Rand Gauthier, the man who stole the tape and blackmailed the couple. The series also stars Nick Offerman as porn producer Uncle Miltie, who mass-produced the tape in order to sell it online, as well as Taylor Schilling playing Erica Gauthier. The first seven episodes are now streaming with the finale arriving next week.
‘jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy’ (Netflix)
