As part of Vans OTW by Vans series, famed photographer and recently appointed brand curator Atiba Jefferson will join forces to release a limited edition shoe.
The OTW Authentic 44 by Atiba Jefferson is due out September 18th and bridges Jefferson's universe of live music and skateboarding - elements that have been core to the DNA of Vans from the very beginning. In line with the brand's "Keep Pushing" ethos, the shoe features the definitive photography of Jefferson, highlighting two giants in the respective spaces.
The cohesive design will feature legendary skateboarding hero John Cardiel on one shoe and gamechanging bassist for Turnstile Franz Lyons on the other. The shoe serves to emphasize Jefferson's legacy capturing some of the most engaging, enduring images in both spaces. The shoe also speaks to the photographer's reach, exemplifying two of the core tenets of California-bred skate and streetwear institution.
The latest in the OTW by Vans series, the Atiba Jefferson follows monthly drops from the likes of Japanese denim specialists FDMTL, artist Sterling Ruby with S.R. STUDIO. LA and renegade streetwear brand FTP.
