The LA collective of Babylon, spearheaded by Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson of hardcore gamechangers Trash Talk, have subtilely and steadily cemented their rank in the world of streetwear.
With collaborative affiliates ranging from like-minded authorities like Born-X-Raised to hardcore's current title holders in Turnstile, it would seem as though Babylon has authentically tapped into the pulse of the street and wears that proudly.
The latest joint effort sees the brand teaming with the iconic Jackass crew for a limited capsule that pays tribute to gang's latest cinematic conquest in Jackass Forever. The sixth film in the franchise from creators Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze, the collection of pieces not only pays tribute to the legacy of the franchise but does well in making well-pointed references to the name's more than two-decade long tenure.
From Knoxville's signature cardigan look to Chris Pontius' "Keep God Out of California" beanie, the capsule offers everything from military-style jackets to hoodies, tees, and heavyweight printed chinos and button-downs all emblazoned with Jackass pride.
The lookbook was shot by famed documentarian Atiba Jefferson, who recently directed the updated music video for Circle Jerks' remastered "Wild In The Streets" with a roster of skateboarding royalty including Tonk Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Lance Mountain, Eric Koston and more. The pages feature the cast in new addition Jasper, Danger Ehren, Steve-O, director Jeff Tremaine, Chris Pontius & Johnny Knoxville dicking around at the famed Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
The Babylon x Jackass capsule drops Thursday, February 3rd at 12PM PST. The collection will be exclusively online at Babylon.la and in-store at the brand’s L.A. location.
jackass forever is in theaters everywhere this Friday, February 4th.
