Earlier this month, Los Angeles art and culture authority Brain Dead announced their "Unstructured" collaboration series with adidas. The first joint release between the two entities actually landed earlier this year when Brain Dead and adidas dropped a signature bowling shoe that took the sneaker scene by surprise. 

Continuing their collaborative success with the Unstructured series, Brain Dead and adidas dropped a white and green colorway of the iconic Stan Smith tennis shoe earlier this month. A week later, the two announced an all black variation, this time branded with one of the most anticipated events in hardcore in Sound and Fury 2024. 

The shoe lands just in time for the summer tradition is set return to Exposition Park in Los Angeles on July 13th and 14th. Following last year's spectacle which included sets from Trapped Under Ice, a reunited Twitching Tongues, Aussie standouts Speed, as well as more metal forward bands like Dying Wish and Fugitive the 2024 installment of the hardcore pilgrimage has most certainly leveled up. 

Among the highlights include confirmed sets from Have Heart, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Sunami, Sanguisugabogg, Harms Way, Fleshwater, NOTHING, Chat Pile, Twitching Tongues and the return of Weekend Nachos. The release of the Sound and Fury edition of the Stan Smith sneaker pays commemorates the 2024 edition of the festival with subtle branding along with the Brain Dead and iconic trefoil. 

The shoe was only available via the Brain Dead flagsjhip store in Los Angeles and instantly sold out. Sweetening the deal, all shoeboxes came with scannable QR code inside of the box good for free entry to Sound and Fury 2024. Given the especially limited release, expect the show to fetch a premium on the resale market. Check the images below.
