Pioneering metal powerhouse Korn has announced plans to revisit the success of their collaborative launch with global footwear and apparel giant adidas for the next edition in their ongoing partnership.
Last year, the union was met with universal acclaim as the two entities finally converged for a joint collection designed with the band and inspired by artwork and imagery from their seminal 1996 LP, Life Is Peachy.
Shelltoe shoes, extra fat laces and customized track jackets became standard wear in the late 90's as KORN continued to skyrocket to superstardom. With the band becoming ubiquitous among pop culture, the link between the iconic three stripes and Korn became forever linked with the aesthetic of the era.
For the latest installment in the collection, Korn and adidas will release a capsule that features apparel and accessories featuring a long sleeve graphic Tee with Three Stripes on the sleeves, three pairs of co-branded socks as well as a cap which bears the KoRn logo and definitive Three Stripes recognized worldwide.
Among the anchors of the latest collection include the next in line of unmistakable track suits made famous by Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. Shifting from the purple colorway from the initial drop, the second version features a green sequined track jacket and matching track pants brandishing co-branded accents, exclusive to the Korn web-store. As for the shoes, the latest collection showcases Follow the Leader-inspired takes on the classic Campus 2 silhouette and the Supermodified sneaker.
The Korn x adidas Originals collection arrives May 15th and willl be available via adidas.com, the Korn web-store and select retailers. See the second entry in the collection below.
