Just last week, metalcore heroes Fit For A King debuted their latest single, "No Tomorrow." The walloping track features an explosive performance led by frontman Ryan Kirby which taps into the mindset of embracing the end of the existence rather than running from it.
Along with the track's heavy themes, soundtracked by an equally heavy composition, the band has added another element with the announcement of a special capsule inspired by their dance with damnation.
Teaming with alt fashion renegades The Pretty Cult, Fit For A King have launched their No Tomorrow collection. Featuring four limited items, the custom collection includes a t-shirt and sports bra, crop tops and a custom flannel all adorned with the band's aesthetic in line with their latest apocalyptic release.
The Pretty Cult founder Arielle Salsa expressed her enthusiasm in getting work along side the band on the launch. “I have always been inspired by Fit For A King’s consistency, drive, and timeless sound that has always evolved while remaining true to their roots. Working with the band’s frontman Ryan Kirby was an absolute pleasure, and I loved how clear his vision was going into this. I feel like we really brought this next era of the band to life through this new collection.”
FFAK frontman Ryan Kirby also spoke of the release and how it is indicative of metal's modern era. "From talking with our fans, especially women, we knew it was a big thing for us to offer merch that’s for everybody and not just be the typical blocky band shirt. Thanks to artists like Spiritbox, Poppy, and so many others, it’s inspiring to see more younger women getting into metal, and it’s very important to have things available for those fans.
With the merch — once you hear our new record and see the artwork, it will all tie in. I almost feel like this merch collection is the first hint towards the new record before it’s [officially] revealed.”
The FFAK collaboration is the most recent joint effort spearheaded by The Pretty Cult. Previous collaborations have included the likes of Kittie, Silverstein, Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle and more.
