WrestleMania Main Events Decided, Card Takes Shape
With WrestleMania just about two weeks away, the lineup is almost fully shaped and while there are a few matches that still need to be officially announced for the two-night event, the final match for both nights has reportedly been decided.
Dave Meltzer reports that night one is scheduled to be headlined by the SmackDown women's championship match which will see Charlotte square off with Rhea Ripley. Meltzer speculated that the as-yet-announced Sami Zayn/Kevin Owens vs. Usos match should've been the main event based on being the most popular story in the company, but Meltzer claims he was told the Smackdown Women's Title match is main eventing for "political" reasons.
Here is the line-up as it stands currently:
- Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship (Night Two Main Event)
- Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship (Night One Main Event)
- Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul
- Brock Lensar vs. Omos
- John Cena vs. Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship
- Bianca Belair vs. Asuka for the WWE RAW Women's Championship
- Hell in a Cell: Edge vs. Finn Balor (rumored to be Demon Finn vs. Brood Edge)
- Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus vs. Damage CTRL
- Expected match: Gunther vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Expected match: Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio
- Unannounced match: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. the Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
- Possibly canceled: Bobby Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt
WrestleMania takes place April 1st and 2nd at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and will be streaming on Peacock.
