Beavis and Butthead have confirmed a brand new movie

The enduring underachievers will make their big screen return via Paramount+. Watch them announce their return via Zoom.

Among the major take aways from the Paramount+ event that detailed the streaming platform's programming slate is the news of the return of two animated icons in Beavis and Butthead.

Touting some 30,000 episodes, 2,500 movie titles and 1,000-plus live sporting events and news coverage, Paramount+ is set to make a huge impact among the biggest digital networks. Over the course of the next two years the banner will deliver more than 50 new series spanning multiple genres.

MTV Entertainment Group president Chris McCarthy broke the news that Beavis and Butthead would be a big part of the Paramount+ introductory campaign during yesterday's ViacomCBS's launch event for the streamer via Zoom. Naturally, the dynamic duo made a Zoom appearance to deliver the announcement themselves. They turned up on separate screens, despite sitting next to one another on that very familiar couch.

Series creator Mike Judge cemented a deal last July with Comedy Central to revive the animated series with a Gen-Z directive. The network has ordered two seasons with Judge set to write the episodes as well as produce the effort. He continues to voice the timeless slackers.

There is currently no additional information with regards to premiere date, plot, or supporting cast but the Beavis and Butthead Paramount+ announcement video for their movie return is pure gold. Watch it below.
