Director Atiba Jefferson takes a 40 year view of the iconic punk anthem with a refreshed visual packaged with the track original ethos.

To mark the 40th anniversary of the seminal sophomore release of Circle Jerks Wild In the Streets, the punk icons have announced a limited edition remastered version of the album and LP reissue set for February 18 via Trust Records.

Following the success of the reissue of the band's 40th anniversary debut in the Trust Records Group Sex reissue, the latest offering features rare audio of the band's 1982 live performance captured at the Elite Club in San Francisco. The Wild In the Streets anniversary edition will also include a comprehensive 20-page, full-color 12-by-12-inch booklet packed with historic photographs, club flyers, and an in-depth 8,200-word essay by veteran Los Angeles journalist Chris Morris. The pages also include new interviews with founding band members Keith Morris, Greg Heston, and Lucky Lehrer.

Coinciding with the news of the remastered, LP reissue, Circle Jerks enlisted director Atiba Jefferson to craft a refreshed visual that embraces the energy of 1982 anthem. To bring the vision to reality, Jefferson corralled a multi-generational ensemble cast of skateboarding's elite in Eric Koston, Victoria Ruesga, Lance Mountain, Kevin Long, Steve Olson, Sal Barbier, Rowan Zorilla, Sean Malto, Anaiah Lei, Christian Hosoi, Tony Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Dashawn Jordan and Max Perlich to rip through the streets of Los Angeles in a brand new visual.

Combining classic performance footage interspersed with a current look of the reunited gamechangers, the vision bridges the ethos of the genre with the spirit of skateboarding with authenticity and reverence. Director and Circle Jerks fan Atiba Jefferson spoke of his intention behind the clip, "I grew up on 'Wild In The Streets', so to be asked to direct this video was a huge honor. I wanted to capture and preserve 40 years of history but also celebrate 40 years of punk rock and skateboarding history."

The deluxe anniversary remastered edition of Wild In The Streets from Circle Jerks arrives February 18th via Trust Records. Pre-orders are available - HERE
